Web Facts of Life!

  • "Do I Need A Web Site?"
  • "What Kind Of Web Site Do I Need?"
  • "What Kinds Of Web Sites Are There?"
  • "What Kind Of Investment Do I Need to Make?"

These are the questions asked by business owners and individuals every day... And they're good questions!

Ponder these facts...........................
The number of American adults with Internet access increased by 16 million during the last six months of 2000, according to the Pew Internet & American Life Project published February 21, 2001
In all, Pew estimates that more than 104 million adults had access to the Internet at the end of 2000, compared to the more than 168 million people who had Web access from either home or work in January 2001, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
In fact, the Pew Internet & American Life Project found that on a typical day at the end of 2000, 58 million Americans were logging on -- an increase of 9 million people in the daily Internet population from mid-year!
In the last half of 2000, there were sharp increases in the number of online Americans who have used the Web to pursue their hobbies (an increase of 20 million users), buy products (an increase of 14 million), and browse for fun (an increase of 15 million).
According to Jupiter Research, US consumers spent $10.8 billion online during the 2000 holiday season -- a 54 percent increase over the $7 billion spent last year -- despite concerns of a poor holiday season.

Armed with this information, it becomes obvious that without a web presence any business runs the risk of missing a huge and rapidly growing market segment. In a nut shell, you do need a web site!

Fear not! A web site does not have to be expensive nor time consuming. In fact the greatest majority of web sites out there are designed to do little more than inform potential clients of your product and/or service, and to guide that client to your current location. A lot like the yellow pages or a billboard, but with a great deal more effect and at only a fraction of the cost. A web site like this is called a "Web Presence" site.

For those who want to actually sell a product online, the process is a little more complex and costly, but not nearly as costly as developing a brick & mortar establishment. In many cases, you can be moving your product online in just a few weeks! And when you sell on line, you can sell to the world, not just your local community. These are called "E-Commerce" web sites.

We offer a FREE "Initial Consultation" which will help you to better determine what type of web site is best for you and your business.
